This substance is used in the contraction of smooth muscles of both nervous and muscular origin. The antispasmodic effect of drotaverine does not depend on the type of innervation and the location of smooth muscles (digestive tract, urogenital system, circulatory system and biliary tract). The drug is metabolized in the liver, excreted mainly in the urine and to a lesser extent through the gastrointestinal tract.INDICATIONS:In smooth muscle spasms associated with biliary tract diseases: cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, pericystitis, inflammation of the bile ducts, inflammation of the ampulla of Vater;In cases of spasms of the smooth muscles of the urinary tract: kidney stones, ureteral stones, inflammation of the renal pelvis, cystitis, painful urge to urinate;In spasms of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract: gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, enteritis, colitis, in spasms of the cardia and pylorus of the stomach, irritable bowel syndrome, spastic constipation and intestinal flatulence, pancreatitis;In gynecological diseases: painful menstruation.DOSAGE:Adults: Daily dose: 120 to 240 mg, in 2-3 divided doses.Children: Clinical studies have not been conducted in children.If it is necessary to use No-Spa in children:daily dose for children aged 6 to 12 years: 80 mg, in 2 divided dosesdaily dose for children over 12 years of age: 160 mg, in 2 - 4 divided doses.COMPOSITION:The active substance of the drug is drotaverine.1 tablet contains 80 mg of drotaverine hydrochloride.The other ingredients are: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone.MANUFACTURER:Opella HealthcareHUNGARYPCKAGING:Two packs of 24x tabletsSTORAGE:Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton or blister.Store at temperatures below 25C.
